Energy and phosphor out of sewage sludge

After a successful pilot run, the new sludge disposal in Straubing was inaugurated in the end of January. This system is unique in Germany: it burns sewage sludge to phosphor-rich sewage sludge ash and is generating electricity and heat at the same time .
